Facebook Events: Add Co-Hosts to Promote

Are you using Facebook events? If not, you should be! They are a free way to promote and advertise your events.

If you want to reach more people, you can add another facebookpage as a co-host for the event. Then all of the people who follow those pages will learn about it. You can do this as you create the event or after.

Below you can see an event with only one host…

To add a co-host after the event is created…

Go the the event and click Edit

Then scroll to the bottom of the event editing box…

Then start to type the name of a page you want to have co-host…

When you select it you will see that it is now “Pending”. This means that an admin for that page must approve the co-host invitation. You can add several…

While you are here, double check that you do not allow people to post to the event without approval…

You may want to remind the admin of the page you invited to be a co-host.

Once they have accepted, the event will look something like this…

Good luck!!
